As the CHIRP team, we participated in the “My Blue Shade Festival of Bornova Diabetes” organized by the Aegean Diabetes Association and Bornova Municipality to talk about our project and activities in Bornova Büyük Park.

During the two-day festival, studies highlighting the importance of technological advancement in the treatment of diabetes have been presented along with issues need to be considered for a healthy life. Healthy nutrition, sports, diabetes medicines, natural products, and technology were the emphasis at the festival, the opening speech was done by Mayor of Bornova. On the first day of the festival, which is Saturday, we had the opportunity to meet with children and their families at the drama education activity accompanied by children with diabetes and listen to their problems. İzmir Kâtip Celebi University Faculty of Health Sciences students also participated, future projects and cooperation steps were included at the festival. In addition, participants such as Homeopathy Trainer, Underwater Physician, Endocrine Specialist, Specialist Dietitian, and Hyperbaric Medicine Specialist attended the activity where we had the opportunity to emphasize diabetes disease and the importance of our project.
