It is great to be able to travel again and meet other scientists. On March 25th, I have attended as a committee member with Prof. Patrice Castignolles (Sorbonne University, Paris) and Prof. Francisco J. Vilaplana (KTH, Stockholm). Asmaa M. I. Elzayat defended very successfully her Ph.D. Thesis, entitled "Biopolymer-Based Hybrid Hydrogels for Biomedical Applications: From Macroscopic to Nanosized Systems", obtained the highest grade, "excellent cum laude".
